nJoyArt – Who, What, When, Where, Why?
Who we are
The Lead Artist and Owner of nJoyArt Limited is Jan Taylor.
nJoyArt’s team consists of Jan and a number of loyal and fun-loving individuals, who also share the same interest and enthusiasm. Most of them found that interest from attending fun painting sessions, those of nJoyArt!
What we do
nJoyArt runs fun group painting sessions, building on the benefits of art to our health and wellbeing.
There are so many amazing and well-documented benefits for taking part in creative activities and we are here to share those benefits with you!
Our group sessions are relaxed and friendly. You do not need to have any experience to take part. We provide everything you need with straightforward, step by step instructions to ensure you go home with your very own masterpiece.
nJoyArt is not about painting perfect pictures it’s about having a whole lot of fun!
When and where
nJoyArt was formed in June 2019.
Our very first ‘Painting for Fun’ session was at Rainbows Tea Room in Bilton, Rugby, Warwickshire, UK on 23rd July 2019 and what an amazing start to our journey!
We run regular sessions online in TheArtRoom.
TheArtSocial in-person sessions were regular events in local pubs, tearooms, art gallery, garden centres etc. These will pick up again as the COVID-19 situation allows.
And then we have TheArtParty, these are the sessions we run just for you! At your home, in your garden or at a special venue and date chosen by you. Ideal for a party or celebration or just to share the ‘Painting for fun’ experience with a group of like-minded friends, family or colleagues.
Firstly, because I love it and secondly because I believe in it. The positive effect it has on health and wellbeing is undeniable.
I always believed one day I would find that ‘job’ that was my calling. Something I have a natural passion for and so it was when I started going to some painting sessions being run in a local pub. I was hooked!
Not only did I find it personally relaxing and incredible fun, it also gave me a wonderful sense of calm and yet a ‘buzz’ of achievement at the same time. But most of all I was struck by the effect it had on the other people around me. You didn’t need to be able to paint, or draw, or be artistic in any way. It was straightforward, friendly, inclusive and achievable and every person there got something good from it! I wanted to share this experience with whoever took that step to come along to a fun painting session.
